William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman

A shining example of a Hollywood power couple who prefers a quiet life away from the glitz and glam (and manages to stay out of the tabloids in the process), indie actor William H. Macy and "Desperate Housewives" star Felicity Huffman have been married since 1997. The duo met when she was an acting student at the Atlantic Theater Company where he was a teacher and co-founder, and they dated for 15 years before tying the knot. They are parents to two young daughters.

In an interview with More Magazine, Huffman spoke about her marriage: "Being in a showbiz marriage is like anything else. It's like any other marriage--you sort of stumble along and reconnect and lose each other and reconnect again. She adds, "But every time Bill Macy walks into the room, my heart still jumps. That is true to this day."

Macy has expressed similar heart-fluttering feelings about his wife and her role on "Housewives." In an interview with Parade Magazine he said, "...I think [Huffman's] the sexiest on that show. What is sexy? It's hard to put it into words. The way she carries herself. And she keeps in really great shape. She's got the kind of body that makes me melt. She's cut. She's strong and lithe and capable. I love that."

The couple also has the honor of a Stephen Colbert-created nickname, Filliam H. Muffman, normally reserved for more, tabloid-y and scandal-prone couples like Brangelina and TomKat.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

Although Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson met in 1980 on the set of "Bosom Buddies," where Hanks had a starring role and Wilson was guest starring, they didn't begin a relationship until a few years later while working together on the movie "Volunteers." They married in 1988 at Wilson's church--Hanks converted from Catholicism to Wilson's religion, Eastern Orthodox Christianity, for the occasion—and the couple went on to have two children. Wilson also became stepmother to Hanks’s two children from a previous marriage.

So how do they keep their marriage strong? "We always make each other laugh, have honest communication, and I never take him for granted," Wilson told FoxNews.

Meanwhile, Hanks opened up to People Magazine about his relationship, saying, "My secret to a happy marriage is just being married to the right woman. I got lucky with the wonderful Rita Wilson. I'm the luckiest man alive."

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick

More than 20 years ago on Christmas Eve, Kevin Bacon placed a ring in the bottom of Kyra Sedwick's Christmas stocking. When she found it, he got down on his knees (she later told About.com he was "shaking") and proposed. The hardworking couple originally met on the set of the TV movie "Lemon Sky," where each had a role. They married in 1998 and went on to have two children.

The "Footloose" star Bacon spoke about his love for Sedgwick in an interview with Cosmopolitan: "No place, no business could break up my wife and me. I would never give the movie business so much credit. To me, marriage is about committing yourself to one person. In my opinion, I got the hottest babe there is; I would never do anything to jeopardize that."

In a USA Today interview, Sedgwick gushed when asked whether absence makes the heart grow fonder as she films her sit series, "The Closer" in Los Angeles, while Bacon and her two children live in New York: "My heart soars [when I see him]. I get that thing--I totally do, still, absolutely. My heart skips a bit, and I'm just filled with love and attraction."

Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Sarah Michelle Geller

"He is my first love," Sarah Michelle Geller—best known for her role in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"—has said of her beau since 1997 (husband since 2002) Freddie Prinze, Jr. The couple is about to take the next step in their relationship, as they announced in April that they are expecting their first child in the fall.

Their Mexican wedding, in September 2002 just after the couple co-starred in the summer movie "Scooby Doo," was marked by natural disasters—first, Hurricane Hernan sent the party indoors, then a 4.6 earthquake struck just as guests were leaving. But that drama did not spill over into the couple's marriage, which is marked by privacy and quality time with their dogs, not Hollywood glitz and constant partying.

As Prinze told People magazine in 2005, there's no big secret to his happy marriage. "It's not a magic trick," he said. "We just respect each other."

Sting and Trudie Styler

When people think of Gordon Sumner—better known by his rock icon name "Sting"—and his producer/environmentalist wife Trudie Styler, one word usually comes to mind: tantra. The singer famously and repeatedly boasted of seven-hour sex marathons inspired by the yogic philosophy. But as he told the BBC in 2004, much of the tantric sex talk was an inside joke that he accidentally took public. He quipped, "Yeah, seven hours of sex every night. In fact it's more like four hours of begging, then a movie and then dinner."

He later met himself in the middle, saying that tantric sex is about more than intercourse and the other physical aspects of sexuality—that dinner and a movie are actually part of the sexual connection experience.

The couple has been together since 1982, but they had something of a rocky start; when they met and fell in love, just as Sting was becoming famous with his band The Police, he was married to the actress Frances Tomelty. The marriage was hurting, though—the grounds for their subsequent divorce were that the couple had not lived together for almost two years. Though Sting's relationship with Styler was initially blamed for the breakup of The Police, both band and couple—Sting and Styler married in 1992—lived to tell the tale.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne

Sharon Arden met Ozzy Osbourne, lead singer of the band Black Sabbath, through her father Don, who managed the band, when she was just 17. In 1979, Arden took over her dad's business and started dating Ozzy. Although some may have initially thought the Godfather of Heavy Metal and the savvy businesswoman weren’t a great match, they went on to marry in 1982 and have three children together (Aimee, Kelly, and Jack—the last two were featured often on the family's hit reality show "The Osbournes"). Ozzy also has three other children, two by blood and one adopted from a previous relationship.

The marriage faced perhaps its biggest trial when Sharon was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002. In an interview with The Guardian, Ozzy spoke about how scared he was that he would lose his wife: "I freaked out. She's the love of my life, and she's also, like, the controller. I couldn't sleep with her for nine months because I was scared of waking up and [finding] she'd died in the night."

Although Sharon has been particularly vocal about her marriage’s ups and downs—there was a lot of drug and alcohol abuse and violence in the past—there's no doubt the hardworking couple love each other deeply and are working on keeping their relationship strong, even renewing their wedding vows in 2003 on their 20th anniversary.

Sharon told OK! Magazine, "Ozzy and I are like bread and butter, we just belong to each other. Just to lie with Ozzy and touch him and smell him means everything to me."

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell

Like Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell's long relationship (they've been together since 1982) has never been made official through marriage.

In a 2005 interview with Beliefnet, Hawn, the actress who began her career on "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" in the 1960s and went on to films including "Private Benjamin" and "The First Wives Club," described her feelings when she met Russell on the set of the movie "Swing Shift:"

"What hit me was his comfort with himself. His ability to be so honest--and he wasn't womanizing at all. He was like a buddy, and I thought, 'God this guy is so cute and he's got no stuff….' I started building this connection to him. Watching him with my children. Watching how he worked. Watching how he approached his job. Watching how he approached his own son out of his broken marriage. Seeing this incredible parent, this love, this inner stability--and then he was so damn handsome and so cute and so everything that it all rolled up into one moment."

The couple has a son together (Wyatt, born in 1986), and they have been deeply involved in raising their respective children from previous relationships (Hawn was married twice, Russell once).
