This is to Brenton. Today, I "wish you enough". I too am in recovery . For ten years I allowed drugs to rob me of life and love. Recovery is a gift from God that has given us our new beginning. The first step requires gratitude, and the second step requires forgiveness of Self. It all starts with you and God. Be grateful for today, and know that today all is well. You woke up this morning without the need for drugs. Recovery is a loving process that assist you in doing the necessary work required that will help restore back into your life all that you need to live today: love of self, forgiveness, and the strength and courage to let go of the past, and to be grateful for who your are today and where you are today. Easy does it ! There are support networks for our family members that have been forced to endure the traumas of our addictions. Just as we need the tools offered in recovery they do as well. Invite your wife to attend one of these meetings. First, take your request to God, and ask Him to season you request for her understanding of this disease. All things require patience and time. If she was there for you during your addiction I am certain her love for you and her desire for a healthy marriage will endure the intricacies of recovery as well. You are doing your part, and now she must do hers if her hope is to continue to share in a love that has sustained thus far many challenges. Brenton, I will keep both your and your wife in my prayers. Allow change to take place one-day-at- a-time. Change is never easy. Yet, positive change requires faith in the power of God, courage, strength, and the determination to move forward and to walk in the new, awe-inspired life change provides. With each new day you are given a chance to make better choices. Choices that will develop Godly character and Christian living. Be blessed, Tanya
