“Believe and act as if it were impossible to fail.”
– Charles Kettering
As of this week, I’ll have been writing these articles for five years, and to celebrate, I want to share with you some of the most important things I’ve learned.
On a recent episode of Rise UP with B. Dave Walters I shared the ONE thing you need to do in order to be, do, or have, *anything*; why your goals aren’t manifesting, and what to do about it; how to give yourself permission to be happy and feel comfortable in your own skin, and much, much, more!
Now, for our purposes here, I have some good news and some bad news. Some of the best and worst news you’ll ever hear, actually! And that is this:
The bad news is, you have created everything in your life that you are unhappy with. The good news, however, is that you have created everything in your life that you are unhappy with…which means you can create something better!
The mistake people often make is falling all over themselves to blame others, and justify their own lack of achievement. But blaming others is quite possibly the worst habit you can form, since if you choose to believe the problem exists outside of yourself, then you are also saying the solution exists outside of yourself. It makes you a cork bouncing on the waves of fate and chance, instead of being a battleship cruising towards what you want.
I’m pleased to report that over these last 5 years, I’ve achieved many things. I’ve become a nationally syndicated columnist, written a book, become a talk radio host, a featured convention panelist, tripled my income, and many other things.
I have accomplished all of this by being clear on exactly what I want, and knowing that it’s up to me to do what it takes to make it happen.
So the most important thing that I have to share with you is this: Decide who you want to be, and do what you have to do. Make a plan, and take action on it, no matter how small, every single day. Learn to ask yourself when you wake up “what am I going to do today to get me closer to what I want?” And before you go to bed, ask yourself what you did that day, and what you intend to accomplish tomorrow.
Once you form the habit of doing SOMETHING every single day to get you closer to your goals, whatever it is that you want to be, do, or have, will show up faster than you can ever possibly imagine.
