Re: Lamar Odom Blog Entry
Hi. Just wanted to touch base with you. It’s been some time since you followed up your first blog entry about Lamar Odom like you said you would, and we’re all awaiting your report on the transits he was having.

Yeah… man, I don’t know. I just don’t know.

You mean the transits he was having aren’t that clear? That’s not encouraging. Up until now you’ve been pretty clear about how well astrology works.

Re: Lamar Odom Blog Entry
Oh, the transits are perfectly clear. First of all, before his near-death binge, the last New Moon was right on top of his Pluto. That’s the sort of thing an astrologer could easily miss, but it sets up the circumstances where other transits could spell disaster. Transiting Saturn was exactly conjunct his Venus, so moping about his love life is to be expected. And with transiting Neptune opposite his natal Jupiter and transiting Jupiter and Mars conjunct his natal Jupiter AND square his Moon? It was obvious something fairly horrible was likely to happen, especially given his past record with substance issues. Like, really obvious.

Great! So why not write about that?

Re: Lamar Odom Blog Entry
I can’t write about it because frankly I’m finding the whole matter depressing. Any client of mine who had come to me with these issues and these transits could have been warned, and the whole awful mess could have been avoided. So even though it’s prime material to write about, I just can’t muster the strength. If only Lamar Odom had consulted a good astrologer he might not have gotten all this negative attention and had a dozen or so strokes.

Re: Lamar Odom Blog Entry
I see. Perhaps you could write about something else instead. It might cheer you up if you wrote about something bad that could happen to someone that can be prevented because of your actions as an astrologer.
Like for example: I know an editor for The World’s Largest Spirituality Web Site who is facing the potential of having to cancel the contract of that site’s Number One Astrology Blogger because he’s suffering from a weird blend of mild depression, writer’s block, and a tiny dash of Messiah Complex, so he’s gotten seriously behind on his writing. Do you think you could work with something like that?
