Oh 2016, you suck. You suck so bad.
Singer George Michael died peacefully at home on Christmas Day. He was born June 23, 1963, at 6 AM in Finchley, England, and —
You really suck, 2016.
A cause of death has not yet been released, but it is apparently not unexpected. He almost died in 2011 from pneumonia, and there have been rumors of a long-standing illness.
Go to hell already, 2016.
In the case of a death following long-standing illness, we need to take a look at transits through the Sixth House, and to the ruler of the Sixth House. Saturn in Sagittarius is passing through George’s Michael’s Sixth House now, having just finished the opposition to his natal Venus and the square to his natal Mars, which would have affected his overall energy levels.
No one likes you, 2016.
The Uranus-Pluto square may be past the exact degree, but it’s still close enough to count (and to be felt)… and have recently been joined by Jupiter in Libra, forming a T-square. A T-square can be particularly frustrating, combining as it does three different difficult aspects. Mean while, Pluto is still in the middle of Capricorn, and over the course of the next month it will be joined by the transiting South Node.
Seriously, 2016, get lost.
Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto were all pulling on George Michael’s natal Jupiter, which is the ruler of George’s Sixth House — where we look in the chart for general health indicators. And then on Christmas Day in his home, somewhere around 1 PM local time, the transiting Midheaven was conjunct Pluto and the local Ascendant was approaching the square to his natal Moon and that was it. Often with a person’s death — with any major event, really — we see the quickest transits (The Moon, the local Ascendant and Midheaven) join the major ones, becoming the straws that break the camel’s back.
There’s another week of this 2016 crap to go yet????
