The next time you are about to overeat, just stop. Remind yourself that you’re about to overeat – something that you really do not want to do. Be conscious. That’s the first step in stopping the problem right in its tracks. Once you're conscious and reminding yourself about how important being healthy and losing weight is to you, it's much easier to do what you really want – to eat that extra amount, or not. If you need help, ask the Holy Spirit to assist you. By building a regular practice of stopping when you know you've had enough, even if there's still food on your plate, you will begin to automatically eat less. By finally stopping this negative habit of eating everything on your plate, you will enjoy liberation from the tyranny of excess.
