Alexander Bernstein played for his high school when he was young and competed in the Tri-Metro Conference. After graduating, he played college football at Colby College before transferring to Amherst College in Massachusetts. There, he played for three seasons. When he was signed by the Baltimore Ravens, Berstein became one of only five Amherst players to ever play in the NFL. In 2000, Bernstein suffered a career ending injury. After leaving the NFL, he became an entrepreneur and went on to found Echo Networks, Inc., Athleticode and North Venture Partners.
