Emily Browning was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1988. She had several roles in Australian television shows such as “High Flyers” and “Something in the Air,” but her big break came with the 2002 film “Ghost Ship.” She received even more attention following her portrayal of Violet Baudelaire in “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.” Browning is also known for her roles in “The Uninvited,” “Sucker Punch” and “Pompeii.” She currently stars as Laura Moon in “American Gods,” a television fantasy drama based on the novel of the same name.
