Regarding faith, Jack Black identifies himself as an atheist but favors sending his kids to Hebrew school. He was raised Jewish and appreciated learning about the culture in Hebrew school. Since his mother is Jewish by origin, that theoretically makes him Jewish as well.

His wife, Tanya Haden-Black, also has Jewish roots, and they have two sons together. Their children briefly attended Jewish day school as Jack did when he was around their age.
