Josh Brolin is an acclaimed American actor. He was born in Santa Monica and raised in a rural California town. Although his father is famous actor James Brolin, Josh's family kept him separate from Hollywood fame until he was a teenager. At age 17, Brolin made his acting debut in the famous Steven Spielberg comedy film "The Goonies." After the triumph of the movie, the California native went on to star in a plethora of successful movies such as "Men in Black" (1997), "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014), "Avengers: Infinity War" (2018), and "Dune" (2021). He has won a Screen Actors Guild Award, Critics' Choice Movie Award, and a nomination for an Academy Award.

Brolin has publicly commented on his religious beliefs in the past, saying that he is not "particularly religious." However, his recent Instagram post's caption included credit to God multiple times. The husband and father recently celebrated eight years of sobriety and expressed gratitude to his family, friends, and God for helping him in his difficult path to sobriety.

On an earlier occasion, he gave God credit for inspiring him and his wife, Kathryn, to name their daughter' Chapel Grace'. "Not being particularly religious but a 'God feeling' has heavily inundated our lives, and chapels have always been sanctuaries where we felt connectedly free to give thanks."
