Kevin Costner is an actor, film producer, and director. He’s won two Academy Awards, Golden Globes, an Emmy, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Costner rose to fame in “The Untouchables” and “No Way Out.” He would go on to star in several films like “Field of Dreams,” “Dances With Wolves,” “Wyatt Earp,” and “The Bodyguard.”

On the television front, Costner starred in the miniseries “Hatfields & McCoys,” earning him his Primetime Emmy Award. He’s also starred in the Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” since 2018. Costner was born in California, the youngest of three boys. Costner spent his teenage years in different parts of California and became interested in acting in his senior year of college.

Costner was raised in a Baptist home with a traditional family structure that formed his values. As a child, he wrote poetry, took piano lessons, and sang in the First Baptist choir. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Costner posted a short video on Instagram telling his followers that he was praying for them and sharing a song called “The Sun Will Rise Again.” Costner also revealed that he still prays, saying, “Yes (I still pray), because I realize I have been very lucky. I feel that there has been a hand over my life. I haven’t lived a perfect life, and I have regrets.” He also shared that he prays for his children.
