Sam Elliot is an actor who’s received numerous awards. His accolades include two Primetime Emmy Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Golden Globes, and an Academy Award nomination. Elliot started his film career with small roles in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” “The Way West,” and guest starring on the Western television series “Gunsmoke.” He also appeared in television movies like “The Shadow Riders” and “Murder in Texas.” Elliot’s breakout role would come in 1976’s “The Lifeguard.”
Since then, Elliot has appeared in numerous other films like “A Star is Born” and “Hulk.” Elliot first got the acting bug while at school in Vancouver, Washington, and would eventually relocate to Los Angeles to pursue acting full-time against his father’s wishes.

That’s where I started, and then I ended up singing in some medium-age group. I would also do musicals.” Elliott says his performance career started while singing in that choir at four to five years old.
