Taylor Hawkins is most known for being the drummer for the Foo Fighters. Hawkins got his passion for music early on in life where he began playing for a number of bands as a teenager. The Rock'n'Roll Hall-of-Fame drummer was able to break into the industry when his family moved from Fort Worth, Texas to Laguna Beach, California. In 2005 Hawkins was named Best Rock Drummer for Rhythm Magazine. In true-nature Hawkins remained quite modest about the title as he felt undeserving. Prior to joining Foo Fighters, Hawkins was the drummer for none other than 90's icon Alanis Morisette. He toured on her "Jagged Little Pill" tour from 1995 to 1997. When Grohl asked Hawkins then if he had any drummers he could recommend to replace the band's current drummer, Hawkins jumped at the opportunity saying he "always wanted to play with a rock band," and history was made. Hawkins tragically passed away on March 25th, 2022 while the band was in mid-tour in Bogotá, Colombia. Hawkins was 50 years old.
