Jacoby Jones’ journey to the NFL began in 2007 when he was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round. Over the next five seasons, Jones developed into a versatile player known for his electrifying kick and punt returns. In the AFC Divisional Playoff game against the Denver Broncos, Jones made one of the most memorable plays in NFL history. With less than a minute remaining, he caught a 70-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Joe Flacco, a play that later became known as the "Mile High Miracle." This pivotal moment helped the Ravens advance to the AFC Championship and ultimately to Super Bowl XLVII.

Super Bowl XLVII, held on February 3, 2013, in New Orleans, was a homecoming for Jones. He delivered a stellar performance, returning a kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown, setting a Super Bowl record for the longest play. He also caught a 56-yard touchdown pass, contributing significantly to the Ravens' 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. For his outstanding performance, Jones was named to the Pro Bowl and earned a place in Ravens' lore as a Super Bowl champion.

Following his success with the Ravens, Jones played briefly for the San Diego Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers. Although his later years in the NFL were less remarkable, his earlier achievements had already solidified his status as a fan favorite and a respected figure in the league. Jones officially retired from professional football in 2017.
