In summer of 2012, Hunter Kemper will be attending the Olympic Games for the fourth time representing his country in the triathlon. As a child he'd admired Olympic athletes in the swimming and track and field events. In 1986, he entered a triathlon for young people and won his age group. Later, he went on to become the Iron Kids National Champion for 10-year-olds. He qualified for the Sydney Games in 2000 during the debut of the triathlon in the Olympics. Kemper is an outspoken Christian. In an interview with Chad Bonham of Beliefnet, Kemper said, "Whether I win a gold medal or not, I get my character as a person from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
