Liza Koshy is an online content creator, actress, television, and comedian who rose to fame through the popular social media app Vine back in 2013. Liza was born Elizabeth Shaila Koshy, in Houston, Texas, to an Indian father and German mother. She attended the University of Houston and studied Business marketing before pursuing a career in Hollywood.
Liza started off posting short comedic videos on Vine, and as her following grew, she expanded to other platforms such as YouTube and Television. With over 17 million subscribers and raking up well over 15 million views on her YouTube videos, Liza continued making videos participating in fun challenges and stunts. She has videos featuring former President and First Lady, Barrack and Michelle Obama, red carpet interviews for Vogue, and her YouTube series which she starred in and co-produced called “Liza on Demand.” She has also hosted “Double Dare” on Nickelodeon, appeared on MTV’s “Total Request Live,” starred in the Hulu series “Freakish” and Netflix’s “Work It.”
