Frankie Muniz, popularly known for his starring role in the television series "Malcolm in the Middle" and films "Big Fat Liar" and "Agent Cody Banks," was once considered one of the most bankable child stars in the world.

He was born in Wood Ridge, New Jersey, but moved to Knightdale, North Carolina when he was four years old. At the age of eight, he was discovered at a talent show in Raleigh, North Carolina, playing Tiny Tim in "A Christmas Carol." Soon, he began making appearances in commercials and television films before landing his breakout role as Malcolm in "Malcolm in the Middle," also starring Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek. The show ran for seven seasons and 151 episodes, winning a Peabody Award, seven Emmy Awards, one Grammy Award and seven Golden Globe nominations. It was recently announced that Muniz will reprise his role as Malcolm in a "Malcolm in the Middle" four-episode reboot coming to the Disney+ streaming service.

Muniz also appeared on the big screen, anchoring the $47 million "Agent Cody Banks" and its sequel "Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London" as well as "Big Fat Liar," "Deuces Wild," and "Doctor Doolittle 2." Although he continued to appear in projects throughout the 2000s and 2010s, he also expressed a desire to retire from acting, even as he leaned into a new love of stock car racing.

Muniz began open-wheel racing in 2008 and competed in the Atlantic Championship. He returned to racing in 2021, joining Rette Jones Racing in the ARCA Mendards Series in 2023. He finished fourth in the standings. Now, he competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsmen Truck Series. In February 2025, he had his biggest racing success at the NASCAR truck series during the Daytona 500 events. He told Fox Sports, "I couldn't ask for anything better. I think this truck was so fast."

In 2008, he met publicist Elycia Marie Turnbow at a Los Angeles gym through their mutual personal trainer. The two began dating and later moved to Scottsdale, Arizona. In February 2011, they had a domestic dispute that led to police involvement, with reports claiming Muniz pointed a gun at his own head. However, Muniz later dismissed these claims as a "fake overblown story." The couple got engaged in October 2011, but eventually called off the engagement.

In 2016, Muniz started dating actress and model Paige Price. They married in 2019 and welcomed a son on March 22, 2021.

What religion is Frankie Muniz?

Frankie Muniz has managed to dodge the trappings of addiction and depression that have plagued many of his childhood counterparts. Although he said his experience was 100 percent positive, he also said he wouldn't allow his child to go into the entertainment business, citing unhealthy self-image and the advent of social media. He recently revealed that he had never tried drugs or "had a sip of alcohol."

Although Muniz said his abstinence from alcohol isn't for religious reasons, others have credited that to his Christian faith, which he revealed in an Instagram post singing along to the worship song "Worthy" by Housefires and Ryan Ellis. He contrasted the moment of worship in his car to subsequently being pulled over by a police car: "Hilarious contrast of feeling good praising God, to being pissed off in a matter of minutes. All part of His plan so you have to trust the good and the bad."

In 2024, after dealing with multiple racing setbacks, Muniz posted, "All that said, I have to trust this is all part of God's plan. I trust the process he is putting me through, and I will not give up."
