Jenny McCarthy grew up in an Irish/Polish Catholic family in Illinois. She became a Playboy model at age 21, boosting her celebrity status, and she moved to California for her career. Soon she was selected as the host of MTV’s Singled Out, followed by her first movie Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead.

In 2007, she revealed her son was diagnosed and lived with autism. Her strong disapproval of vaccines for children further propelled her to spotlight and brought her head to head with health experts and other activists.

Jenny is the author of a number of books, including the Belly Laughs series.
