Star Natalie Portman was born in Jerusalem, Israel, to two Jewish parents who, while American, spent a great deal of time in the Holy Land. She moved to the states when she was three, and attended Jewish schools all the way to college. Portman is extremely intelligent, landing not just acting gigs but lecturing gigs in college classrooms.
