Leah Remini has been in supporting roles since the early ‘90s (remember Zack Morris’ summer love at the beach club on Saved by the Bell?). However, it was her role as the sassy, quintessential sitcom wife in King of Queens, playing opposite Kevin James. Although she was baptized Catholic and raised in the faith during her early childhood, in 2001, she told CNN that she belonged to the Church of Scientology. While she knew about the controversy regarding the religion she said, “"I can see how people might trip out about it. But I've been doing it for so long." In July, 2013, Leah broke ties with the Church of Scientology. After more than three decades as a Scientologist, Leah Remini said she had returned to her Catholic roots. Today, she is an outspoken vocal opponent of the Church of Scientology.
