Phil Robertson is best known as the patriarch of the Duck Commander family and a star of the hit reality TV series "Duck Dynasty.

Born on April 24, 1946, in Vivian, Louisiana, Phil Alexander Robertson grew up as the fifth of seven children in a modest family. Raised in the rural South, Phil’s childhood was marked by poverty but also by the values of hard work, resilience, and resourcefulness. In December 2024, the Robertson family revealed that Phil had been diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease. This neurodegenerative condition affects memory and cognitive function, posing significant challenges for both Phil and his loved ones.

In a statement, Phil’s family expressed their commitment to supporting him through this difficult time. They highlighted his enduring strength and faith, qualities that have defined his life and continue to guide him in the face of adversity. “Alzheimer’s is a tough diagnosis, but Dad’s faith and love for his family remain unshaken,” said Willie Robertson. “We’re leaning on God’s grace and each other as we navigate this journey.”
