Ashlee Simpson is the younger sister of singer and actress, Jessica Simpson. She is from Waco, Texas but became a name in Hollywood when she was featured on her sister’s MTV show, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica and then had her own spin off show called The Ashlee Simpson Show. Simpson began studying classical ballet when she was 3 years old and in 1995 was the youngest person ever enrolled to be in the School of American Ballet in New York City. However, her parents soon moved their family to Los Angeles for her sister Jessica’s singing career.
In her own show, she created her debut album titled, “Autobiography,” which reached the top of the album chart. She later produced 2 more albums that also did well for the young artist and she became known for her alternative musical style, different from her sister Jessica who was more hip hop. In addition to her singing career, she also tried acting and made appearances in the TV series, 7th Heaven, and a remake of Melrose Place. She married Pete Wentz from the band “Fall Out Boy” in 2008 and gave birth to a baby boy the same year but the couple eventually divorced in 2011. She is currently married to the son of singer Diana Ross, Evan Ross and they have 1 daughter together.
