Lindsey Vonn is an incredibly accomplished American World Cup alpine ski racer from Minnesota. Her father and grandfather being competitive skiers, Vonn began skiing at age 3, racing internationally at age 7, and started training exclusively at age 11 in Colorado.

She is 1 of 2 women to have won four World Cup championships, the first woman to win the gold medal in downhill event in the 2010 Winter Olympics, and 1 of 6 women to have won world cup races in all 5 disciplines of alpine skiing. Her 67 World Cup victories are an all-time women’s record, making her the most successful American ski racer in history. Vonn’s success has made her a female face of sport in the US and has appeared on The Today Show, Access Hollywood, and The Late Show With David Letterman. She was married to former U.S. Ski Team athlete Thomas Vonn but they divorced in 2013 and she dated golfer Tiger Woods until their breakup in 2015. She says that training takes up most of her time during the season, 6-8 hours a day, 6 days a week.
