Emma Watson is known for her role as Harry Potter’s bestfriend, Hermione Granger, in the Harry Potter film series. The actress was born in Paris, France but was raised in England and got the part as Hermione after being found at the Oxford Theatre. Her first non-Potter role was the 2007 BBC film Ballet Shoes and she later went on to play in films such as The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Your Voice in My Head.
Aside from acting, Watson attended Brown University and Oxford University to receive a Bachelor degree in English Literature. She is also a model and has been featured in campaigns with brands such as Burberry and Lancome. Watson is considered a fashion icon and was the youngest person to appear on the cover of Teen Vogue magazine when she was only 15 years old. She also helped create a line of clothing for “People Tree” and has travelled to Bangladesh and Zambia to promote education for girls. In 2014, Watson was appointed as a UN Women Goodwill.
