Dweezil Zappa, son of Frank Zappa, broke onto the music scene as a solo artist in the 80’s and can be heard playing guitar on albums like The Fat Boys' Wipe Out, Don Johnson's Heartbeat, and Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze. He later made a handful of television appearances before returning to his musical roots – most recently organizing the Zappa Plays Zappa tour – a group of young musicians who brought the music of Frank Zappa, his father, to a younger audience.
