Many causes and charities plea for our attention during the holidays, but when the day comes, most of us spend Christmas sharing meal and gifts with family. I took some time to observe how people show their faith even during the mundane details of the day. Here is what I saw:

-Guests washing dishes.
-An uncle volunteering to take out the trash.
-Another uncle offering to collect the ripped wrapping paper into a trash bag (Hopefully to recycle–we had an entire forest of paper of gift wrap this year!).
-An aunt fixing an impromptu evening meal for those hungry at the end of the day.
-My niece praying before our Christmas meal (She’s so cute!).
-Hugs and kisses between those who often do not exchange an embrace.
-Saying “I love you” (often).
-Giving that one personalized gift no one expected that brought tears to someone’s eyes.
-Turning off the television to share a conversation with a loved one.
