Plan USA is asking 25,000 people to join them in a petition to stand against child marriage. When children as young as 8 years old are forced into marriage, it’s time to speak out.

Child marriage is wrong and it has to stop.

I’m standing against child marriage.

I’m standing up for girls everywhere to guarantee their right to education, health and well-being. To have a childhood.

If we make a stand, we can bring an end to the practice of child marriage by increasing access to education and life skills training for girls; supporting youth groups that raise awareness about children’s rights; and working with local partners to change social norms and promote community understanding about the harmful impacts of early marriage.
