Military Heroes – U. S. Air Force

Donald S. Lopez

Second Lieutenant USAF (Ret.) Lopez will have the audience at the edge of their seats as he tells his gripping story about his first dogfight as a P-40 pilot over China in WWII. In a valiant attempt to help one of his fellow pilots who was being chased by a Japanese plane, Lopez fires toward the enemy pilot trying to get his attention. The enemy’s plane “went fluttering down, out of control,” and Lopez made it back to base and scored his first victory.
