It is spring time here in the northern hemisphere and that is the perfect time to do a Karma cleanse. While many of you are doing spring cleaning on your outside world, doing a karma cleanse helps you to clean things up on the inside.
Karma is often misunderstood. While we are having a human – finite – experience, we see things as either good or bad, wanted or unwanted, everything in extreme polarity. When you begin to look at life a little deeper, the extremes begin to lessen and a more harmonious existence begins to unfold. Things like Judgement fill your karma bank with unwanted things that will later appear in your experience in some way to clean up and heal. Thoughts or feelings such as “Oh they will get their Karma!” actually add things to your karma bank, so become more aware of which column you are adding into, and much aware of what others are adding to theirs.
To begin your Karma cleanse, look at your life, your thoughts, feelings and actions in a new light. Take these steps and see if it isn’t time for a good cleanse to help things get moving in a more desired direction:
- Check your motives – Look deeply what your motives are and why you are doing things, especially the ones that are more challenging. Sometimes the process of understanding your actions helps you to see what needs to be changed or adjusted so you can begin to have new, more wanted experiences.
- Watch your attitude, words, and actions – If something is bothering you, especially the actions of someone around you, it is telling you that something within you is really bothering you. It is then time to look within your own mind and monitor your feelings as they will show you when your thoughts are in discord with your feelings. When your feelings are in discord with your thoughts, you know that something needs to change.
- Act with Love – There is a beautiful Sufi saying that is the perfect filter to help you to act from love. “Before you speak, let your words pass through 3 gates. At the 1st gate, ask yourself “Is it true?” At the 2nd gate ask yourself, ‘Is it necessary?” At the 3rd gate ask yourself, “Is it kind?” When you do this, you then will be acting from love. Do this also with the thoughts you hold as your own. Acting from love towards yourself is one of the most important steps you can take to change your life.
- See the gift – The best way to move on is to see the gift in the experience. If this is a challenge at first, begin with being thankful the experience is over. What is most important is to find a place that feels good or better, even just a little, and drawing from this point. Forgiving yourself is an important step also.
- Let it go and move on – One of the hardest lessons in life seems to be in letting go. If you are still telling the story, you have not let it go and need to go back to seeing the gift and finding the love. It doesn’t matter if it is guilt, regret, anger, love, loss, betrayal, or pain, change isn’t always easy. We fight to hold on, we fight to let go and it is truly time to let that go. It is the resistance that makes it so painful and acceptance with all of the above is the key healing, and moving on to a bank that is filled with more wonderful things and amazing moments is your goal.
Your Angel Guidance is to look at these aspects and clean up your Karma Bank:
Remember, Karma is neither good nor bad, it is the culmination of your thoughts, actions, and feelings. What is in your Karma Bank?
