Stillness is peacefulness, finding a place of peace, like a lake on a calm day. Nothing brings you healing and rejuvenation like finding a special place to just be. From this place of stillness, you can heal, regardless what is happening in the world around you.

When you can find a place of peace inside of you, you can always find balance in a chaotic world. You become the eye of hurricane, and it doesn’t matter what the wind is, inside the eye is peace and calm. Once you have found this place, it is so much easier to return anytime you choose, just remember and you are there.

Awaken each day, like the dawning of the new day, with Stillness. Feel the breath of the forest and the trees. Feel the quiet  in the day as it awakens and use this energy of peace to give you strength throughout your day. Breathe in and inhale deeply. Let go of any cares or concerns, worries or problems, and just let them go. Breathe a little deeper and a little slower, and keep breathing. If you can do this in an actual forest, even better as you then get the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide. There is great beautify in the healing power of nature.

It is in deep inner stillness that we find our true being. From this place, we can feel our connection to all that is. To achieve this mindset, it is important to slow down and get away from it all. Life has sped up and there is a quickening taking place. No matter what or where the noise of life is, you can create the energy of stillness. This not only relaxes your mind, it also heightens your senses and awareness of the world around you in a new way.

I love this quote from Mooji, “There is a presence, a silence, a stillness which is here by itself. There is no doer of it, no creator of this stillness. It is simply here in you, with you. It is the fragrance of your own self. There is nothing to do about this, it is naturally present. This fragrance of peace, this spaciousness, it is the fragrance of your own being.”

Spend some time in Stillness. Do a meditation with no thoughts or purpose, other than to just be.  Practice being the centre between heaven and earth. Take time out each day to find peace and regardless what is happening around you, you will be at peace with your own being. You can achieve this with steady, focused breathing; or we can simply choose to pause for a moment and just be see still.
