The F-Word has many meanings. I find the F-Word is out there more and more in our society. So, what exactly am I talking about here and why bring up the word?
I have never been big on swearing. I feel there are many ways to get one’s point across without resorting to words that carry a negative energy like a ‘swear word’ is. Society decides what words are deemed appropriate and what energy a word carries, as do each one of us. If I feel a words means something to me, then it most certainly does. Just look at how the use of swear words have changed over the years since the advent of television. However the F-Word has never been one of my favourites or one I have used very much. I don’t have a problem with people using it, it just hasn’t really been a word of choice for me.
Lately I have found myself using the F-Word a little bit more! Why is that? I wondered to myself the other day when I stopped for a moment and said “Well F$%^!” I must admit, sometimes it was with an exclamation mark, and other times it was with a big question mark, but really what was going on for me to be using this word more and more?
I love this clip from Risky Business… (Be forewarned – there is the F-Word dropped a few times in the clip). For me, when I saw this clip, it was really about learning to surrender and live in the moment. I really love this part of the clip:
Miles : Sometimes you gotta say “What the F$%^”, make your move. Joel, every now and then, saying “What the F$%^”, brings freedom. Freedom brings opportunity, opportunity makes your future. So your parents are going out of town. You got the place all to yourself.
Miles : What the f%^$.
When I looked at my uses of the word, I realized it was a response to a lot of change going on in my world. The next time I found myself saying that word, I thought about what other F-Word worked instead…I picked Fantastic lol. “Isn’t that just Fantastic” it works as a question mark and an exclamation mark ending.
Another great F-Word is Freedom – like Miles says in the movie… What the F#$% brings freedom. Freedom brings opportunity, opportunity makes your future….kinda makes you think a little. I think a lot of times when we use the word, we are really just seeking freedom from our everyday world. So I guess freedom is a big part of the feelings too.
Your Angel Guidance is to look at how you use your F-Word
There are many types of F-Words. Remember it is about the energy we put into the word that gives it meaning, not the actual word itself. We can always choose which one we use…like Fantastic or Fun, or another really good one to remember is…”Forget-it!”
So also remember, like Miles says…sometime you just gotta say “What the F$%^ and make your move!”
