Daylight savings time starts tonight for some parts of the world. I am extremely grateful that does not observe daylight savings time. I always disliked having to change my clocks and adjust my inner clock.

Some say Benjamin Franklin came up with the idea while other say it was first proposed by George Vernon Hudson in 1895. First came standard time. Each town used to have its own time, determined by the sun and often a steeple on a building which contained a clock.  Standard time began in Britain in the 1800’s under pressure from the railroads.

Only 70 countries observe daylight savings time and angels don’t pay attention to time at all. Here are some interesting stories about daylight savings time; avoiding the draft, change in birth orders and a bomb threat averted.

So, tonight some of your clocks spring ahead while I just have to remember the time difference between here and the mainland is now less.

What does all this have to do with angels? Not much really because angels live outside of time yet they are always there when we need time. I saw a cute bumper sticker the other day: “Never drive faster than your guardian angel cal fly.”

Have a great weekend!
