I get many. many wonderful emails every day. Today I got one that really made me smile. It can be so easy to forget to ask invite angels and the divine into our lives but when we do there are always signs they have been there.

I am getting ready to leave for Lithuania and Latvia. Once a year I go there to teach. I am also in the midst of having an addition built on my home. I start getting phone calls at 6:30 or 7 AM from the contractor or subcontractors. When I forget to invite the angels and turn the outcome over to God stress is the order of the day.

The gist of the email today was that a woman was looking for her favorite shoes in their walk in closet. She looked and looked and couldn’t find them. Then her husband looked and he couldn’t find them either. A few hours later she walked into the closet and there they sat in the middle of the floor where you couldn’t possibly miss them. The husband had prayed to strengthen his connection to spirit the night before.

I am going to be in Chicago Tuesday and one of my dear friends lives there. I lost her phone number when my cell phone died.  So last night I thought about her and said a short prayer. Today there was an e mail from her in my in box.

When I saw that I thought why do I stress myself out about anything? Why forget to just let go and trust the process? It is a new day and another opportunity for me to practice surrendering. After all spiritual practices do take practice.
