When I think of angels I immediately think of gratitude. Partly because I feel grateful when I think about their presence in my life and partly because that is the energy I feel most often when they are present.
Living aloha
Here in Hawaii I have learned about ‘living aloha.’ Literally it is a way of life infused with love, gratitude, respect and a profound sense of love for life, the earth and all creatures large and small. My Hawaiian teacher and best friend Mahealani embodies aloha.
One day we went to a class on growing mushrooms. We were sitting there waiting for the teacher and there were refreshments at the back of the tent. She got up, made a plate for everyone and served them. She didn’t know anyone, she wasn’t part of the staff – she just lives aloha.
So my question is: have you been living aloha with your house guests, the angels?
Living with the angels
Part of my intent was to have you spend 40 days with the angels. Calling the angels into your home is a very easy task. All you really have to do is invite them and they are there. I find doing a small ceremony helps convince my mind that they are there.
So they are there. What are you doing with them? Are you allowing yourself to bond with them? Are you allowing yourself to REALLY feel their presence in your life?
If you haven’t it certainly isn’t too late. Sit down right now and write them a letter. Start out by thanking them and then ask them to help you.
Starting your day with a good morning to the angels
Make it simple. Start your day by saying good morning and end your day by saying good night to the angels.
I sincerely encourage you to use this month to begin an active relationship with these wonderful loving, gentle, helpful beings. They are always there, just waiting for you to notice.

With love and aloha,
