Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. Today is a day of insanity at the malls. I remember all too well from the days I owned a stained glass studio and plants store. Months getting ready, the rush of Christmas and then the hush of January.
I used to sell poinsettia plants carefully grown in small pots. This is a picture of me standing next to a poinsettia plant in my backyard last year. It is way taller than me this year.
I was very happy to read about all sorts of acts of kindness this holiday season. Layaway Angels abounded this year. At Kmart alone $425,000 worth of layaway’s were paid of by kind strangers. I watched a news story here in Hawaii last night about meals being brought to the elderly. One man wasn’t home so they gave the meal to a neighbor who was brought to tears.
I love doing random acts of kindness, especially when I don’t get caught doing it. Remember acts of kindness begin with yourself. Be kind and loving in all your thoughts and deeds toward yourself and then let the love expand to others.
May 2012 be a year filled with love and lots of random acts of kindness.
Calling the angels into your home
With love and aloha,
