Rob Loftis at Big Monkey, Helpy Chalk has a great link to an account describing how Marvel’s Captain America periodically reminds young Americans what this country should be all about. Given how many so-called conservatives have forgotten it these past six years, it is fascinating to see how comic books have kept the message of our Founders better than the American Enterprise Institute, the Hudson Institute, NRO, and the other members of the right wing borg.

I believe future historians will write that this was one of the most important elections in American history. I am relieved, surprised, and grateful that the vote was as decisive as it was, that the efforts at vote suppression and manipulation failed, and that perhaps in the future we will not have to speak of our constitution in the past rense.
