PZ Myers is one of my favorite science bloggers, despite his pretty superficial discussions of religion. I read his Pharyngula pretty regularly. Mark Kleiman at The Reality Based Community is one of my favorite social science bloggers, again despite some important differences of opinion between us on drug policies, where his is one of the smartest and best informed voices around. No matter. I still disagree with him to some degree. I learn from both
But it seems they have gotten themselves into a confrontation concerning Myers’ and similar folks’ simple minded criticisms of religion. Their criticisms are about as insightful as the religious right’s criticisms of evolution.
