I was fortunate to be born in 1978, long after Martin Luther King, Jr. said these words that changed the world.  Even though I am from the deep South, and encountered my fair share of discrimination and intolerance, it was nothing like what my parents and grandparents generations endured to fight for the freedoms that I now enjoy.

To celebrate Martin Luther King Day 2012, here is a short video of his I Have a Dream speech, and a small sample of his quotes from Brainyquote.com.

I give thanks to MLK, his family, friends, and all the men and women of all races and walks of life who stood up to intolerance and oppression.  While there will always be more work to do,  I would not be who I am, or have what I have if not for your struggles and sacrifice.
