Question submitted via Formspring.me:
“How do I attract the right job. The one that truly makes me happy?”
An excellent question!
Too many people go through life doing something they don’t enjoy, with some vague plan to be happy at some point in the future.
The problem is, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed to any of us; and more importantly, why would you waste 30 plus years of your life doing something that at best bores you, and at worst, you hate?
The person who controls your paycheck controls where you live, what kind of car you drive, if you can have kids and what kind of school they’ll go to, if you can take a vacation, or even retire one day. The person who controls your paycheck, controls your life! So wouldn’t it be better if YOU controlled your paycheck?
So, the first answer to your question is: create your dream job and be your own boss; I did an audio program about this very thing.
Whether or not you want a new job, or to start your own business, the first few steps are the same.
1.Be grateful for the job you’ve already got!
Assuming you have a job right now, remember there was a time you were WISHING for it! If you can’t be grateful for what you’ve already got, you won’t be happy with more.
2.Decide what you *don’t * want
Start by deciding what you DON’T want to do anymore. Be it aspects of your current or past jobs, or if you even want to switch industries completely. Don’t be afraid to try something totally new; the average person will have 14 different jobs in 7 different industries!
3.Decide what you would be willing to do for free
What do you do for fun? What do you dream about all day at the office, and rush to do on the weekends? No matter what your passion or your hobby is, I guarantee you there is some way to make money at it. Ten minutes on the internet will probably reveal to you lots of people who do what you do for fun for a living!
4.Have a vision, make a plan.
Decide what your dream job looks like; decide what you want.
Remember, if YOU can’t choose what makes YOU happy, then who can?
Don’t get hung up on not knowing ‘how’ it will manifest, it’s your job to know what you want and why you want it; how it will come is a gift from God; a surprise party from the Universe.
Still learn what you need to learn to prepare yourself; if you need to take a class, or even go back to school, put a plan in place to make it happen and go after it. It’s only your life and happiness we are talking about, no big deal right?
5.Apply the Law of Attraction.
Once you know what you want, put the Law of Attraction to work for you.
Remember though, when you pray: move your feet!
The Law of Attraction is like the software, your effort is the hardware!
Take action every single day towards the achievement of you goal, and think about it as often as possible *while staying positive about it *!
If every time you think about it you feel excited and motivated, then great!
If you start to feel doubt, insecurity, or anxiety about whether or not you can do it or when it’s going to manifest, you’re thinking about it too much, put it out of your mind.
6.Know that you are good enough!
You deserve to have a job that you love and feel privileged to have; to have a life so great that it keeps you up late and wakes you up in the morning. Don’t turn your back on your dreams. Never give up, never give up, never, ever ever give up!
