One of the more recent comments I received in response to the survey is a request for the Daily Skywatch the day before.  I think that’s an excellent idea (I just read it this morning) and so I’ll start this tonight!

Today is relatively quiet from a planetary point of view, with the Moon conjuncting Mars at 7 am this morning and offering an energizing beginning to the day.

We are entering the shadow of the New Moon in Aries, and tomorrow both the Moon and Mercury enter Aries so this Moon/Mars event this morning will help to pave the way for a greater experience of our inner desires and enthusiastic inspiration.  Aries also has a dark side, as all of the astrological symbols do – a tendency towards selfish behavior and unbridled aggression.  Aries teaches the balance between the need to assert oneself and the desire for conquest, and this is the dynamic which will be highlighted at the New Moon on Thursday.
