The mass shooting at a synagogue in California during the last weekend in April served as but another opportunity for the left to advance its latest Big Lie:

The Lie of the ever-growing threat of “White Nationalism.”

Some thoughts:

First, it is just that we should refer to the White Nationalist menace as a lie, and not simply a falsehood, for precisely the same reason that it is proper to regard the “Trump-Russia Collusion” narrative as a lie: Those who peddle this fiction know that it is untrue.

To repeat, for all of their wailing, virtually no one on the left genuinely believes that they’ve got a thing to fear from any so-called “white nationalists.”

In fact, virtually no one who is busy waxing hysterical over the alleged increase of “white nationalism” could even tell us what a “white nationalist” is supposed to be.

The ominous White Nationalist is a politically convenient fiction that his enemies in the Democratic-dominated leftist media invented so that they could have a bogeyman with whom to associate President Trump.

This is more Fake News.

Second, had the synagogue shooter been black or a Middle Eastern Muslim, or had the shooting victims been white Christians, it would’ve disappeared from the news more quickly than you could say “Easter-worshippers.”

It is only because the shooter was a white man and the victims were not Christian that those in the media chose to exploit the shooting for every bit of political mileage that they could hope to gain from it.

And this brings us to the third point:

Whites generally and white men specifically are the collective object of a relentless demonization campaign, a campaign notable for its longevity, ubiquity, and dishonesty and waged, in various ways, by the government, academia, the entertainment industry, Big Business, and, especially, the media.

Such is the determination to vilify and criminalize the White Heterosexual (Christian) Man that the media labors inexhaustibly to create white villains even when there are none to be found: Tawana Brawley, George Zimmerman, Nick Sandmann, and the case of Jussie Smollett are just a small handful of the legions of racial hoaxes revolving around imaginary white racists.

It isn’t just that the left invents white villains; leftists obsess over their archetype of choice to the point of endowing the White Heterosexual Christian Man with divine, if demonic, powers that Christians have traditionally associated with the Prince of Darkness.

Fourth, while we can indeed learn much about the agenda of the media from what it chooses to report, its zealously anti-white agenda is gotten that much more readily from what it chooses not to report.  Or perhaps it is more accurate to say that when both of these considerations are attended to in conjunction with one another, it becomes axiomatic that the media is waging a war on the White Heterosexual Christian Man.

For example, over the weekend that a mass shooting at a California synagogue resulted in the injury of two people and the murder of a third, there were at least nine other mass shootings that occurred in cities across America.

To repeat: At least nine mass shootings transpired contemporaneously with the synagogue shooting.

However, odds are overwhelmingly good that few Americans are aware of this.  The reason for this is simple:

In every one of these other mass shootings, the shooter is non-white.

More precisely, one of these shooters is Hispanic, and the remaining eight are black.

As the intrepid investigative journalist Colin Flaherty writes at American Thinker, of the other mass shootings that occurred during the weekend of the San Diego synagogue shooting, “White people did exactly none of them.”

Flaherty is a rarity in a boundless sea of Fake News insofar as he is a real journalist.  The author of two widely praised books, White Girl Bleed A lot and Don’t Make the Black Kids Angry, as well as numerous articles, Flaherty has made it his mission to bring to the public’s attention what he refers to as “the greatest lie of our generation,” the great hoax of “relentless white racism” and “black victimization.” To this end, it was some time ago that Flaherty started his own podcast, the primary means by which he daily shares with his ever-growing audience videos of black criminality, violence, and mob violence from around America.

Flaherty had made several appearances on Sean Hannity’s nationally syndicated radio show, among scores of other shows, and veteran scholar and writer Thomas Sowell once wrote of Flaherty’s research that it made it “painfully clear to me that the magnitude of this problem [of large-scale black violence, particularly black-on-white violence] is even greater than I had discovered from my own research.”

Sowell also notes that while “Flaherty’s previous writings have won him praise and awards,” the author’s White Girl Bleed A Lot, that Sowell found so illuminating, “has been met largely with silence or abuse.”

Flaherty does the work that few others are willing to do.  Together with subscribers to his podcast, Flaherty was able to compile a list of these neglected mass shootings perpetrated overwhelmingly by blacks that occurred during the weekend of the synagogue shooting in California.

Yet the phenomenon of the mass black shooting is hardly new or uncommon.  As Flaherty remarked during one his latest podcasts, at least one mass black shooting occurs every day in America.

That bastion of far right-wing conservatism, The New York Times, confirms Flaherty’s observation, for it is the Times that informs us that a whopping 75% of mass shooters are black.

And yet even though (when Hispanics are thrown into the mix) they constitute less than one-out-of-every four mass shooters, to judge from the parallel universe concocted by the media, one could be forgiven for thinking that white men, white heterosexual Christian men, are responsible for all mass shootings.

Finally, the label of “white nationalist”—like the labels of “white racist,” “white supremacist,” “fascist,” “neo-Nazi,”—is nebulous. But this is precisely its virtue from the perspective of those who are most prone to ascribe it to their enemies.  The elasticity of terms like “white nationalist” and “racist” permits them to be used indiscriminately against anyone who is deemed insufficiently “progressive” or otherwise politically inconvenient and, hence, disposable by the self-styled agents of the Racism-Industrial-Complex (RIC).

These terms of abuse aren’t just terms of abuse. They are meant to not merely abuse, but to dehumanize, those at whom they’re hurled, to forever exile them from respectable society and intimidate into silence and to acquiescence to the latest in Progress any potential sympathizers of those sentenced to non-personhood.

Hopefully, the foregoing considerations will remind readers that media scribblers and talkers cared about the latest synagogue shooting for the same reason that they care about any mass shooting involving a white shooter: Ratings and the advancement of an anti-white ideology.

(As I am about to send this essay off to the presses, I just received word that in Trenton, New Jersey, the town where I was raised, the police are searching for at least two suspects who, over the Memorial Day weekend, shot off 30 rounds into a crowd outside of a bar in the wee morning hours on Saturday; ten people were shot).
