What I want to speak about today centers around the following quote:
“You see with your brain, not with your eyes. Your eyes can deceive you, don’t trust them.”
You may be asking yourself, “Where is Chaney going with this and how can it help me in my life?”
Well, let’s start by looking at the question of the day…
“What are the hidden blessings in your life?”
…Because answering this single question can certainly help transform your life.
When we as humans see with our eyes we perceive things through any or all of our 5 senses, sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. While that is tangible and “concrete”, or as many people would call “reality”, understand that this is only half of what is really going on.
This is why your eyes can deceive you.
The other half of what is going on is an unseen, hidden, but yet always present element in our lives. You can refer to this as actuality.
Why is this important?
Because as you go through life there are hidden blessings contained in moments that you at first are not aware of. We typically will label these moments as “bad” or “negative” in some way.
Any time we label people, ourselves, and/or events in this way those hidden blessings that are present all along within us are clouded and therefore are not obvious to us at first.
This is that happens when we get into highly emotional states…
Which is why it is wise that you be poised and present regardless of what is going on, and this also includes moments that you
have a tendency to get “up”, “elated”, or “ecstatic” about.
The true gratitude and authenticity that many people seek is contained in the form as that “hidden blessing”, whatever that is for you.
In fact it’s there all the time.
As you go through your day (and life) really take the time to see what those hidden blessings are for you.
Look to see where the order is within what may seem like chaos going on around you.
Remember that we live in a two sided world and you are a two sided magnificent being. Your true and amazing self is made up of both the positive and negative traits.
This is also true about all the events you come across in your life. Being able to see both sides and knowing that they each serve a purpose in your life will allow you to see things which you may not have been aware of before.
And it is in these moments is where you see those hidden blessing in your life.
Along with these special moments, I really want you to see what is special about you. It can be in any area of your life and expressed in your own unique way but really take the time to see it.
You’re worth investing the time in yourself to see how amazing and gifted of a person you really are.
Thank you for being you.
