I have a coaching program, C.A.P.E (Clarity, Articulate, Plans and Purposes and Execute). I designed it specifically for those who desire to achieve their deepest goals.  But throughout the program, I’ve discovered the hardest thing for my clients to do is to articulate.

Articulation is vital for  many reasons; mainly, it helps  to confess our needs, wants and desires.  Working with many people, I’ve found that for a lot of us, we are afraid to speak the things we want and need.  Articulation’s greatest threat is fear.

Why are we afraid? I think for many of us we shrink at the thought of sharing our heart’s deepest desires because we are afraid others may not understand.  Moreover, we feel that what we articulate will not come into fruition.  That notion is simply not true.  In a previous post I told you, that words create our worldIt’s important in life to speak and know what we want vs. what we don’t want.  What we want attracts; what we don’t want remains the same.

Even in prayer, its imperative that we articulate to God our needs and concerns.  Too often, we find ourselves giving general prayers and thus, getting general answers in return.  Here’s a truth: greatness is in the details.  God, the ultimate source of greatness, wants to be involved in your life and process to greatness.  However, how will you  discover the help or the grace you need if you don’t share what you need?

In my own story, some of my greatest successes came through me articulating a need or desire.  For example, in creating my first book, Pervis Principles Volume One, I had no idea who I would get to design the book and see the vision I had for it. I prayed to God specifically about this need.  One day, I had an urge to reach out to an old intern of a friend of mine.  I articulated to him my vision and need and he immediately understood and got my vision.  Fast forward, my second book has just been released.

You never know what person is waiting on the other side of you sharing a need or desire.  Today do not let fear rob you of you of the greatness that is awaiting you. ARTICULATE.

Remember we have the ability to not only change our world, but the world as a whole….BE GREAT!!

Until Next Time,

Pervis
