Our Beyond Blue group on Beliefnet’s Community site is really taking off. We’re up to 67 members, with several active discussions in progress. I’m so excited that it is proving to be exactly what I had hoped: an extension of the community of hope we have here on our message boards.
I will be pulling some of the inspirational journal entries, videos, audios, and discussion threads from Group Beyond Blue and publish them here so to integrate the two a little bit. You’ll know it’s coming from Beliefnet’s Community site because I will always include the blue rose, the clip art for our group there.
Mat Albano, a.k.a. Wisdum wrote a beautiful song, and uploaded it set to music by Rick DeYoung and sung by Allison Long. To hear it, go to his page by clicking here. If that link doesn’t work, go to my page by clicking here, and find Wisdum under my friends.

Here are the lyrics to “Christmas Time”:

The cold weather’s slippin’ in, winter’s here again
And soon we’ll be settin up, the Christmas tree and trains
Rushin about, so many things to do,
Buying presents, fixing up, the old house like new
The holidays are fast approachin’ as we go our way
Preparing to celebrate another Christmas day
Through this hectic season sometimes I want to shout
And I have to recall what’ it’s all about
Refrain:
Christmas Time, Christmas Time, A time of peace and joy
Brought to us a long time ago, by a little baby boy

He brought to us a brighter day, of peace and joy and love
And prepared a place for us, with the father above
And with his coming, he made our lives anew
Shared with us eternal life, with him in heaven, too
The price he paid for us, He didn’t seem to mind
For his love was greater than any you can find
Sometimes he’s saddened by the life we live
But he’s always there to lend a hand, and say “I forgive”
Refrain
So on this Christmas season, with friends and family
Remember the greatest gift, for eternity
A little child who came, to set us all free
And make this world a better place for you and for me
Refrain
