It’s a little disorienting at first reading ourselves discussed in the clinical (literally and figuratively) terms of epidemiology rather than in the abject pain we suffer. The tale of British “coal gas” suicides will be familiar to anyone who has heard Elton John’s song “Someone Saved My Life Last Night,” for example.
But there is a logic to it that becomes clear — logic, I think, similar to that I know I have discovered here on BB and I think many BBers discover as well:
Focus on the “how” rather than the “why”
