Even though I had looked every imaginable place for my Fitbit, the snazzy electronic pedometer my daughter gave me for Mother’s Day, it was nowhere to be found.  But I kept looking, even in the same places I had looked before.

Why keep up the futile search?  Because things are only really lost when you quit looking for them. So I kept looking.

I see a parallel to our fitness journey.  We may have stalled-out times, times we fail, and times it all feels pointless.  But we aren’t a failure until we quit trying.  As long as we keep getting back on the wagon when we fall off, we are on the path to success.

Incidentally, I found my Fitbit!
