Yesterday we talked about walking with Jesus — picturing Him walking beside you, just outside your range of vision as you follow your exercise route. So what do you say to Jesus?
Most of us start out with our list of wants and needs. I have to admit to it. A lot of my recent conversations with God begin that way.
Here’s a better idea. Let’s begin our conversation with a few overdo “thank-yous.” What in your life do you appreciate most? Your family? Your friends? Your health? Every good gift you have comes from God — so you might want to let Him know occasionally that you appreciate them! A walk together is a good time to begin that habit of gratitude and praise.
It never fails. When I begin thanking God, I find I have a huge supply of good things in my life that I was taking for granted. I never even bothered to think much about them. But as I begin thanking God for them, I am overwhelmed with the goodness of God and with the joys He has lavished on me.
Don’t forget your walk with Jesus today. It will be good for your heart — in more ways than one!
