“As long as we keep eating, we don’t have to wash the dishes.”
My Grandma used to quote that old saying. It probably referred to more in life than eating, but it applies to those of us who are moving to a state of health and vitality beyond gorgeous.
Have you ever prolonged a meal so that you don’t have to go back to work (whether that involved dishwashing or not)? Meal time for me has always been my break time and as soon as it was over I had to get busy. I would keep nibbling and picking to stave off the dreaded moment. When I realized that bad habit was packing on many extra unnecessary calories, I decided to quit it. I gave myself, instead, a non-eating break after I got up from the table. I also didn’t allow myself to read at the table, which changed my whole perception of lunch time.
When is it hardest for you to stick to the plan? Take a look at your motives and your circumstances. What can you change to make it easier?
Make it easy on yourself and you will be able to surge ahead toward your goal!
Eating to live and living for Christ,
