What are you like?  Knowing who you are is a big help in finding a plan to help you succeed in your weight loss/healthy living goals.

We are going to look at the four basic personality types. See if you can recognize yourself and we’ll figure outs how you can use your personality to help you in your healthy living goals.

First we’ll look at the leader. Some folks call them “controllers” but I, for one, don’t want to be known as a “controlling woman!” They are sometimes called “Type A” or “Dominant” or something else. We’ll call them leaders.

Leaders do best when someone is looking up to them and following them. They respond well to respect and take their responsibilities seriously. Knowing people are depending on them keeps leaders on the right path. Leaders are almost always Blitzers. They are goal oriented and are driven to succeed.

So how do you succeed in weight loss and healthy living if you are a leader? Get together a group to lead. You may want to organize a group at church, at work, or even on Facebook. Of course, you will want to make sure you know what you are talking about so you lead your group in the right direction!

You could get a group together to exchange low glycemic recipes or to just encourage and be accountable to each other. A walking group is another idea. You can get your little flock together and start a regular walking plan to keep each other moving.

Just remember folks — you are leading, not driving, your group.

If God gave you a “leader” personality, then He must expect you to lead. Get your group organized and be the best leader you can be. You will be helping others as you help yourself.
