At the end of our time in Turkey, my friend Levent Oral arranged for us to do a boat trip around the south coast of Turkey, stopping here and there to see some ruins on several islands and a couple of inland sites as well.  Here below is the boat we sailed in….

We sailed from cove to cove, much like the boats Paul would have sailed in, and there were plenty of surprises along the way.

For one thing, there were lots of other boats doing the same thing, and their were entrepreneural boats— selling various food items to the bigger boats.  For example,

Here is a lady making us banana breakfast crepes or some other fruit, on a little speed boat.

The boat above however was my favorite— the Mangnum Bar boat— selling the best ice cream bars in all of Turkey.  If only Paul could have sampled them, he might have stayed longer on those boat trips 🙂

And here are the lot of us, having a blast on the boat. The gentleman on the right with the pretty blonde Is Levent Oral with his wife Natalie… who made all this possible.  We had a blast. In the next post, I will show you some of the sites and islands we visited.
